Loas - Formatted (Mutated Forms Remix)

We already talked about Mutated Forms in this post, this trio has made some very swinging Drum and Bass tracks. Now on a new Spearhead Records EP (Buy here) there's a remix from them for Loas song "Formatted". And it's banging !
Really recommend the EP, as it contains remixes of Dc Breaks, Shock One, Cyantific and more.

Passion Pit - Sleepyhead (Borgore Remix)

Even though I'm a huge Dubstep & Drum and Bass fan, I can enjoy other music too. Like Passion Pit, I have alot of respect for this band and yes I'm a fan.
Their most known number is probably Sleepyhead wich is remixed by the one who, some say, created gorestep. I am, obviously, talking about Borgore.
Most of you will know the remix by now and maybe have the short cut that's about 2 minutes long. But that's not good enough for us, so here it is, the long version of Borgore's remix for Passion Pit.

Jubei

The number I'm about to post is made by a insanly good Drum&Bass artist, who I know does not get the recognition he deserves. I'm talking about Jubei (Check out his MySpace). He recently (april) made an EP containing 4 brilliant tracks, one in collab with S.P.Y. I really recommend it if you like some experimental DnB with a very dark touch. (EP can be found here)

This track that is my personal favourite and trust me if I say you need this one!
Only thing is that you must give this track some time, it's a slow starter.
Probably the biggest D&B track this year for me. Track also on the Nothing Ventured: Nothing Gained EP.

Jubei - Alignment

Roundup ♫ 7' Drum and Bass Edition

Time for another roundup, this time not another dubstep but a D&B edition. Cause to be honest I'm more into that the last couple weeks. (Still like Dubstep, alot)
In the roundup we have something for everyone; from jump-up to breaks to liquid.

First up, coming from his new EP that was released about a week ago. Trei with "Mindless". I've seen Trei playing about 10 days ago and he's pretty darn good. Since then I've been searching for tracks by him, and they al sound good. If you like this track be sure to check out the full EP here (Uprising Records).
Trei - Mindless

Released on Calypso Muzak, EP is titled Belly/Jaws and artists are Steppa & Kitcha. Giving out Jaws, this one is pretty hard, but I like it alot! Be sure to check out the EP.
Steppa & Kitcha - Jaws

Now for the Liquid lovers, Fred V's latest track "Tell Me Tonight". This track has amazing vocals (as you about to hear). Fred V does it again if I must say!
Fred V - Tell Me Tonight

Next up, this 14 year old talent (!) made one of the finest liquid numbers I know! Originally planned to be released on Liquicity, but not sure if that's still going to happen. Memro is played by artists like Netsky and Logistics, not bad at all for an 14 year old boy. Bet we will hear more of him in the future.
Memro - Trick of the Tail

If you know something about jump-up you must know Heist, else you're not doing your homework. His new EP will be released the 7th of June, including the tracks Getting Dead and Medieval this sure sounds promosing. Well, take it from me, it is just great.
Heist - Medieval
BONUS: Heist - Death Star

Excision's mix for Radio 1 had one of his (and Encode's) track in it. I'm talking about Russian artist DaVip. This guy make's Drum & Bass in the same way Datsik (and other artists...) make dubstep. You know, the robot-ish mechan-ish sounds. He make's alot of his number with (also a Russian guy) Encode.
DaVip & Encode - High Technology
DaVip & Encode - Vamonos
DaVip - Armor

Two famous artists in the Drum & Bass scene are Xample and Dj Hazard. They both come with a new VIP for one of their numbers. Xample put his hands on Lowdown while Dj Hazard tried Machete. Both good VIP's !
Xample - Lowdown (VIP)
Dj Hazard - Machete (VIP)

Chase & Status - Heavy (Feat. Dizzee Rascal)

Bonkers by Dizzee Rascal was probably the most played number in 2009 on the radio and some festivals. Dizzee Rascal had some other populair numbers to, like Holiday and Dance Wiv me. I think some of them were amusing, altough it wasn't the music I would play at home on my own. But the newest track he made together with Chase & Status is just plain good if I must say. Well, probably it's more the Chase & Status "part" I like, but still... I think this is one track that's gonna be played alot in the coming months.
Enjoy this track full of Sirens (ironically isn't it)

Dj Hazard AKA Vague

Most of you probably know Dj Hazard, and not to many of you know him will also know that he releases on his own label with the name Dirty Harry. Now, Scott (that's his real name) didn't think he had enough with two name's. So he's back with new tracks under the name of Vague! I think he's making it all a bit complicated but whatever.

I personally think the new EP that he released is very big, on the A-side we have "241" that ,when I first heard it, made me think he made the new alias for Drumstep releases. But it looks like it just very hard jump-up Drum & Bass. The B-side on the other hand, is more like what I'm used to get from him, 3A quality jump-up Drum & Bass. Track is called Big Business.

Personal favorite is with no doubt 241, it's more unique. (But it's pretty hard...)

Vague - 241 !

NERO !

They did it again! Dan Stephens & Joe Ray, better known as Nero, surprised us again with a very big remix. They came up with a remix of Chino - Insatiable, which isn't a bad track at all on it's own. But yes, Nero just adds some power to it which makes the track sound totally perfect. Don't know anything about a forthcoming release or so.

Chino - Insatiable (Nero Remix)

Enjoy ;), LTMCY

Roundup ♫ 6'

Since the previous roundup is dating from the 1th of april it's time for a new one. Roundup number 6 it is, containing some dubstep and very chill tracks!

So let's start with a producer that definately deserves the attention! He's called Shlomo and he's one hell of a talent. Can't really label it into a genre, but if I really had to I'd call it some experimental dubstep! Check his album out here
Shlohmo - Ghosts
Shlohmo - Spoons

Next, another collab that's really worh the attention. It's about a collab between Airhead and James Blake, producing some of the most mental dubstep out there in my opinion. Their productions got dropped on the first proper 2010 BRAiNMATH release (MATH06)
Airhead & James Blake - Pembroke
Airhead & James Blake - Lock In The Lion

Next, a producer who's name is new to me. He's called mndsgn. Some very special sounds, but really awesome in my opinion. Just check it out for yourself.
mndsgn - o.gawd

Here's another artist i've never heard of before, Suff Daddy. I've found some tracks of him, released on his new album called The Gin Diaries. Check out his album here.
Suff Daddy - Deep Shit Feat. Mar
Suff Daddy - 5 O'Clock Suff Feat. Miles Bonny
Suff Daddy - Jimmy Jazz Feat. Jim Dunloop
Suff Daddy - Worst Case Szenario

...And last, another artist i've never heard of before. Again some real quiet dubstep
Lone - Borea

So that's all, kinda short roundup but yeah..

Cheers, LTMCY

Noisia & ...

The Dutch trio Noisia have recently released their newest album. Split the Atom consist 19 master tracks in the Drum & Bass genre. If you would like to listen to the tracks and perhaps buy it, go here. Now one of the tracks on the album shares the same name as the album itself, obviously Split the Atom.

When I was at Rampage the 16th of April in Antwerp, Chase & Status played a very banging track. Later that week we thought it was the Chase & Status remix of Split the Atom. But we weren't sure.

I even captured the moment Chase & Status played the track at Rampage

Now, we finally now what remix is it (we were sure it was a remix...) and (a bit surprisingly) it's from Bar 9 !

The track is banging as I already stated before and you can dowload it here on LTMCY.
