DIverz.

This guy is a personal friend and he, now and then, likes to produce some tracks. While his talent is not very known yet I really, really like his tracks. His tracks all really have variable genres so I can't really put him in one style.
My favourite track is called Wasted in a Dream

I really like the way he puts this subtle yet beautiful piano sample with the really smoothing core of this track.

Be sure to check out the rest of his wide diversity of track's on his soundcloud, also support him on his facebook.

Some new goodness

Lapalux - Swallowing Smoke (Edit):

The Attic Project - The Gale:

And last but not least, from Shlohmo's upcoming EP, one of the most amazing tracks I've heard in a long long while. Seems like we're in for a good year.

Hardcourage - Full Stream

FaltyDL has just put up his entire new album Hardcourage (released on Ninja Tune) on SoundCloud for streaming. We reckon it's great, with For Karme as our absolute favorite.
Go check it out, and as always: like it, buy it. The man deserves it!
Hardcourage - Full Album Stream

BONUS: Gold Panda's remix of Straight And Arrow, one of the tracks on the album. Love it!

Round Up #1

I will try to have some Round Up's weekly to summarise some of the recent numbers/ep's that I enjoyed.

Something for the heavyweight lovers, Gantz isn't that known but his tracks are pretty damn smooth and he is for sure climbing to a higher ground. His newest track Enso and Siyam will not dissapoint a heavyweight lover. Forthcoming on Innamind Recordings.

(Get it here)

Now for something completly different. J.Sparrow and Ruckspin collab under the name of Author is not that new. Neither is the track 'In The Sky' by Author, but I like it so much I will post it anyway.

Lovely, isn't it?

I've always been a Gold Panda fan and the coming of his newest EP called Trust is only making me an even bigger fan. Thumbs up for this wonderfull production. Combining subtle vocals with rythems that only this mastermind can create. I recommend this a lot.

(Buy here)

Last but not least. If you are an older follower of this blog you probably know all of us love B.Lewis. And there is nothing much to say about the track he uploaded yesterday. LOVE THIS GUY. Also, is it me or does it look the guy's vocal is singing something about a ferrari? Haha.

Enjoy them as much as I did.

Boddika & Joy Orbison - &Fate

Joy Orbison has been a prominent name in the music sector for quite some time now, yet he doesn't really have a genre to be placed in.  He has tracks that can be placed under future garagedubstep, breakbeat, and house making the differation in his tracks pretty huge. He's been working a lot with Boddika last months (producing sublime house tracks). Like this one.

NOW, his upcoming album (releasedate 11th of March on Nonplus records) is probably going to be pretty awesome ! &Fate is just one of the tracks on the Album 'Think and Change' and it sounds very, very promising. Can't wait for this one.

Future Stars of 2013 - Perseus & Jonas Rathsman

The pleasure went to Perseus and Jonas Rathsman, who opened the four part series with their essential mix. Kanye West X TNGHT

Last year TNGHT released their first EP that was a pretty huge succes and received great reviews. And it looks like they won't change their progress this year.

They already made an edit for Kanye West's Clique

Now recently they even got a short appearence by Kanye West himself at their song "Cold" at the Williamsburg Music Hall performance.

I'm thinking they are going even bigger in 2013. Let's hope so.

Disclosure X AlunaGeorge

The UK duo Disclosure, most known for their collab with Sam Smith, is back for another one. This time AlunaGeorge joins their side for a very catchy song with nice vocals and having some underground pop infuences.

The song is called White Noise and you can already listen to the preview, coming from Zane Lowe's BBC 1 Radio Show:

The full track will be released the 17th of February

Ghostek

We've always appreciated Ghostek's music a lot. He combines Future Garage with an incredible atmosphere  to produce lovely tracks that try to bring you to another state.

One of his latest releases, a remix for Dekadence's Heartway is great as usual.

You can download the track for free by pressing on "Buy" and entering nothing as amount. OR you can name your price if you wanna support him in his future career.

Be sure to check out one of my personal favourites of this talented producer.

James Blake - Splendour In The Grass 2011

James Blake, not only a master in making the music, but also in bringing it. Here's a set I would like to share with you guys. It's Blake's performance at Splendour In The Grass 2011, located in Australia. The way he brings 'Klavierwerke' is just simply madness! Looking forward to see him again at Pukkelpop 2011.

zondag 29 mei 2011

It's been a month.

Since the last post dates from april, it's about time to provide you guys with some tracks.
Kicking down the post with the Groundislava debut LP which is an absolutely astonishing album. This is the outcome of combining creativity with 8bit and chip-tune samples, amazing!

Next up, the Norwegian Mr. Little Jeans, who's busy writing and recording her first record. Meanwhile she did a cover on The Suburbs by Arcade Fire, unpacking the track from its original soundings adding up a sublime key of electronica.
Mr. Little Jeans - The Suburbs (Arcade Fire Cover)

A tribute to Gil Scott-Heron, who passed away on the afternoon of may 27 in New York City. A great musician he sure was, being called 'the godfather of rap' and 'the black Bob Dylan'. Here's a track coming from his latest album 'We're New Here' featuring Jamie XX
Gil Scott-Heron and Jamie XX - NY Is Killing Me
He brought out more music under aliases such as Prefuse 73. Prefuse 73 - Perverted Undertone

Continueing with Holland young producer Luisterwaar who recently released his debut album 'Dry/Wet' which you can download for free here.

D33J, a member of the wedidit collective, just brought out his first ever public release, entitled 'Tide Songs'. You're able to download it for free here.

AKS - First EP

The Belgian band AKS (Addicted Kru Sound) is on the edge of releasing their first EP on Forma.T Records, which is going te be dropped somewhere may. In anticipation of their EP, they already released a track called 'Give It Back' featuring Lola for the vocal part of the song. I had never heard of this Lola but her voice is definitely incredible! The single is out since the 3th of april, you're able to grab it here if you'd like to.

Live on Studio Brussel:

New Amon Tobin Album

Here it is, the new Amon Tobin album 'Isam' (released on the mighty Ninja Tune label) with all of the full tracks available for preview. Most of the tracks remind me of a lovechild between Eskmo and 16bit, which is a good thing of course! My personal favorites? Lost & Found and Bedtime Stories (you won't expect that massive drop!)
Enjoy! B.

Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind? (Erol Alkan Edit)

Erol Alkan's
edit on 'Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind?' by Tame Impala dropped on Modular Records on the 6th of february. Unlike lots of remixes, this one's very similiar to the original which, in this case, is an asset. Buy the Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind? (Remixes) - EP
