Bukkake

In case you never heard of them, A(ddicted)K(ru)S(ounds) is a group of 5 Flemish students producing kick-ass dubstep! They were asked by the Wu-Tang Clan to remix one of their songs for the upcoming album 'Wu-Tang Meets The Indie Culture Vol. 2: Enter The Dubstep'. So of course, I'm really looking forward for there remix! But they're also gonna release a kick-ass song somewhere 2010! Here's a little preview, it sounds absolutely stunning! Plus, I really like the title. :) If you don't know what it means, please look it up.

What Up Y'all?

The StereHoes, a DJ duo from Paris made a nice refreshing remix of What Up Y'all by The Crookers. What makes me love this track so much is especially the first minute of the track. Afterwards it's again a typical Crookers tune. I'm sure you'll like it!

Crookers - What Up Y'all (StereHoes Remix)

Catch you guys later!

Blau!

It's been a good year for Laidback Luke. People who attended festivals this summer all know the track called Hey! he released together with Diplo. Another bomb of a track he released this year is called Leave The World Behind produced together with Swedish House Maffia. And now he's back with a smashing track... BLAU! But it's not just Laidback Luke who did all the work, Lee Mortimer also had his share in this track. Thumbs up for this one!

Laidback Luke & Lee Mortimer - Blau (Original Mix)

Do These Shoes Fit You?

The French duo from France, The Shoes, finally release their track 'People Movin' featuring Primary 1! Always loved this track, and although it's already pretty old, I'm happy they decided to release it! Of course, every EP comes with nice remixes, this time coming from Siriusmo, Tom Deluxx and Monsieur Monsieur.

Siriusmo did his thing, and of course it sounds good! He just keeps amazing me, and I'm pretty sure he will never stop doing so.

The Shoes - People Movin' (Siriusmo Remix)

Monsieur Monsieur is a duo coming from Reims, France (just like Brodinski and of course, The Shoes) and I'm going to be honest, I've never heard of them. But they turned this happy track into a crazy tech-house song, heavily influenced by Popof and Noob. Well done, guys!

The Shoes - People Movin' (Monsieur Monsieur Remix)

The last remix to deserve a place on our blog is coming from La Mode. Yup, you're right, this remix will not be featured on the official EP. A shame, though, because this track has been my favorite track to wake up with for a few months! You can't miss this one, download this feel-good track!

The Shoes - People Movin' (La Mode Remix)

Do You Like Bass?

Yeah, Harvard Bass is (together with Renaissance Man and Riva Starr) definitely one of my favorite electro-producers of the moment. 'Caked' was the shit, and his remixes never fail to blow you away. And well, he's done it again! With a remix for Acid Girls' well known 'Lightworks' he surprises me again! So, if you wanna be cool, download this track!

Dubstep, what else?

If you thought so, we aren't sick of dubstep yet at all! So... surprise, once again some friggin' dubstep tracks! To start off with an edit of one we all know. Stenchman just simply banged a wobble bassline under it and so it became a dubstep edit...
Stenchman - Puking Over

Nero is probably one of the most known dubstep producers from the UK. A while ago he made a nice remix of 'Blinded By The Lights' by The Streets. If you didn't already have it, get it!
The Streets - Blinded By The Lights (Nero Remix)

The following artist can't be lacking in a dubstep post, dubstep master rusko. To begin with his Cockney Thug EP, released on the 24th of august 2009.
Tracklist:
Rusko - Cockney Thug (Original)
Rusko - Cockney Thug (Caspa Remix)
Rusko - Cockney Thug (Buraka Som Sistema Remix - Digital Exclusive)
Download EP here!

And here are 2 more tracks of Rusko that I like very much!
Basement Jaxx - Feelings Gone (Rusko Remix)
Rusko - Dial My Number

As so I started with a remix of a track we all know, I'm also going to end in that way. Doorly's remix of 'I'm Not Alone'. Good Stuff!
Calvin Harris - I'm Not Alone (Doorly Remix)

Enjoy!

Compa

Today I received the new EP from Compa. This english dubstep producer wasn't familiar to me. But I checked out the EP and damn I like it!
The EP includes 4 tracks he produced by himself. Personal favourite is Broken Melodies, check it out yourself

Some Smashing Drum & Bass Tracks ☊

Since i'm in the mood for drum & bass, I wanted to upload some smashing tracks. To start with the heaviest tune, Nightwalker's Enter With Caution. That's what i call a smashing tune, let the kicks & the snares surrounded by the vivid bassline blow out of your speakers and enjoy!
Nightwalker - Enter With Caution

Likewise the first track the second one is also a freakin hard one! The VIP version of Dillinja's Life.
Dillinja - Life VIP

The next one reminds me of Pendulum. This track includes a nice & deep bassline, just how we like it, don't we?
Drumsound and Bassline Smith- Cape Fear (Tantrum Desire Remix)

According to me, the following ones are two of Danny Byrd's best tracks. Both tracks include a very nice vocal that hangs around in your head for a long time after listening to it.
Danny Byrd - Gold Rush (feat. Brookes Brothers)
Danny Byrd - Joy And Pain (feat. Redd)

The last one's a very nice track to end with. You keep hearing a girl saying "I'm a bad girl, a bad girl" untill the drop comes in. Must have for the laid back drum&bass fanatics.
TC - Bad Girl

Enjoy & don't forget: Let The Music Control You ♥
See you next time!

Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute...

Oh man, today I discovered this absolutly sweet dubstep refix of the song Please Mr. Postman by the Marvelettes (original coming from 1961!).
Big ups to Cragga for this refix, the vocals are just so nice with the number he created.

Cragga - Please Mr. Postman (Dubstep Refix)

Roundup ♫ 4' Dubstep Edition

Been a while since I made another post, but luckily I got more people that help me on the blog! Now, to be honest te latest time I always check dubstep & DnB and I rarely listen to electro anymore. In this post I'll put some tracks that my Itunes played mostly the last week!

Let me start with a very nice and chill dubstep track. The artist, Acces To Araska isn't very known I think. Well I never heard of him! Check out his Myspace for sure!
Acces To Araska - Parisville

Next one is coming out on the forthcoming 'Iberian Records', it really has the dubstep wobble in it. Artist, Octa Push from Portugal, is a bit more known. Great track!
Octa Push - Dubshh

I dont know if you like western movie's, but everytime I listen to this track it reminds me to the old western movie with the cliché scenes. Doesnt take away the fact that track is a incredibly good Drum & Bass track. Come's from the Bravery EP of FaltyDL, really recommend the EP!
FaltyDL - Tronman (Drum and Bass)

2562 is a dubstep dj from the Netherlands, his Unbalance EP came out 19th of october. And it's very good, Yes/No is probably my personal favourite of all his tracks.
2562 - Yes/no

This Planut Mu release from Brackles is really incredibly. Probably one of my favourites of this post.
Brackles - Rawkus

This Bar 9 remix of Shove It! by Deftones is probably the hardest of them all. The other tracks are more chill and relax. Well, this one is not!
Deftones - Shove It (Bar 9 Remix)

Major Lazer's 'Hold The Line' was a pretty decent track. But this dubstep remix of it by Public Speakers tops both original and other remixes of it.
Major Lazer - Hold The Line (Public Speakers Remix)

Next track comes from 2 friends of my. I already made a post about them. This is their first Dubstep track, and man it's good!
Slash 'n' Turn - Wobblecheeck (ft. Airvalue)

Last but not least, personal favourite of the post. Very deep and dark dubstep by Mbz.
Mbz - Darko Dub

Give the artist some support and check their myspaces.

Netsky

Hailing from Antwerp, Netsky is one of the most promising upcoming producers of the moment. In the last 4 years involved in music production, he realised that he likes his drum & bass deep and soulful. He is trying to ballance the deepness and musicality of his sound with big enough beats and bass to keep the dancefloor alive. Belgian pride!

As first Netsky's Prisma / Tomorrow's another day EP, Released on the 27th of july 2009. It includes 2 tracks called Prisma & Tomorrow's another day. 'Prisma' is a masterpiece of laid back d&b, including the sound of a minimal piano that makes the track sound so chill. 'Tomorrow's another day' is build around a nice vocal that sends shivers down your spine. I'm sure you'll like it. Download EP here.

Secondly, his Starlight / Young And Foolish EP produced in the same way as the Prisma / Tomorrow's another day EP. Starlight also contains this very, very chilled vocal. Download EP here.

Massive chilled d&b track that comes in with a lovely vocal of a woman saying "you want things your way"
Netsky - Your Way

This one reminds me of Chase & Status - Take Me Away, which obviously means it's a bomb...
Netsky - Hold On To Love

The next one is the track with which I discovered Netsky. Nice smooth bassline surrounded with again... a lovely vocal of a woman
Netsky - Lost In This World

The following 2 tracks are VIP versions, which means they weren't planned for general release. but I'm glad they did, because 'Tomorrow's Another Day (VIP)' is without doubt my favorite Netsky Track as so 'Come Back Home (VIP)' is also one of my favorites.

Netsky - Tomorrow's Another Day (VIP)

Netsky - Come Back Home (VIP)

ENJOY!
and remember: Let The Music Control You!

Cheers!

Zipper

Yay! Sound Of Stereo finally releases a new EP! The Zipper EP will be released on the 24th of November, and will contain three new tracks called 'Zipper' (of course), 'Velcro' and 'Button'. You can listen to a little teaser here! To be really honest, 'Zipper' and 'Button' are not really my cup of tea, but 'Velcro' sounds really promising! Can't wait!

Bounce low, bounce high!

Yup, our guy from Huddersfield, UK is back with another banging remix! After brilliant remixes from A-Trak, The Bloody Beetroots and Felix Cartal, Doorly decided to give it a try too: he remixed MSTRKRFT's 'Bounce'! It tastes delicious, check it out!

MSTRKRFT - Bounce (Doorly Remix)

He recently also made two remixes for Riton's 'Who's There?'. One's dubstep, and one's a crazy tech-house track that kind of reminds me of Popof. Well done Doorly, you showed us you can handle alot of genres!

Riton + Primary 1 - Who's There? (Doorly's Knock Knock Remix)
Riton + Primary 1 - Who's There? (Doorly Remix)

Oh, and Doorly also remixed 'Blau', the (awful) collaboration between Laidback Luke and Lee Mortimer. And guess what? He turned it into an enjoyable track! We'll upload it as soon as we get it!

Laidback Luke & Lee Mortimer - Blau (Original Mix)

Enjoy!

MARS!

More then a year after the 'Mars EP' by Fake Blood got released on Hervé's label Cheaper Thrills, they decided to release a 'Mars Remixes EP' including remixes by Hervé himself (not really a remix, more of a boring edit), Boy 8-Bit (the most creative remixes of them all, but not the best), Jack Beats (he did a good job on remixing this already classic track, if you ask me) and tech-house producer Style Of Eye! And of course, this Swedish producer delivered the best remix! Nicely building up to a climax that blows you off your socks, that's how we like it! Well done, check it out!

Fake Blood - Mars (Style Of Eye Remix)

After working on the amazing Moderat album, Modeselektor's back with a new, brilliant tune called 'Art & Cash! And of course, this masterpiece come with a video! Check it out!

Love The Dub Love

These two songs are really good. Love related or not they kick some serious ass, I really like the vocals and well it's good dubstep!

First one is by Nneka remixed by master minds Chase And Status, really recommend it!
Nneka - Heartbeat (Chase And Status Remix)

Second is by Marshmellow, be sure to check out his Myspace, good stuff!
MarchMellow - Hate 2 Love U

Let's Go Nuts!

Yeah, we've already heard the collab between Noob and Brodinski, 'Peanut Club', and I'm sure y'all liked it. Lately A LOT of remixes have been released, these are the bests in my opinion.

The best one is definitely by Renaissance Man. These 2 crazy producers sure know how to make good remixes! This could easily be one of the most creative remixes I've heard this year! Keep an eye on those fuckers, they're fucking great!

Peanuts Club (Renaissance Man Remix)

The next one is by Beataucue. I never even heard of him before he made a really nice remix for 'Pon Di Floor' and 'Put Your Hands On Me'. This madman is already getting support from Boys Noize, Crookers and Diplo, show him some love! I mistook his remix for 'Peanuts Club' for a remix for Sonic C's the first time I heard it, but that doesn't matter. Check it out!

Peanuts Club (Beataucue Remix)

This stays pretty loyal to the original, although NT84 made it a little bit harder and louder, and added some quirky acid-sounds. Nice one!

Peanuts Club (NT89 Remix)

Good night, and don't forget..
.. keep on truckin'!

Some Music Videos

Yeah, a nice music video for A1 Bassline's (average) track 'Bad Man Horror Theme'. It shows the real nature of women, so make sure you keep watching 'till the end!

A funny music video for pretty bad song. Nice photography, but I can't find the director. Enjoy some senior-porn.

A jolly, sunny music video for Malente's remix of KC And The Sunshine Band's 'That's The Way (I Like It)'. Enjoy!

And of course, here's the stunning music video for Vitalic's brilliant track 'Poison Lips', off his new album 'Flashmob'! Enjoy!

Enjoy your weekend!

Burial - Fostercare

I've always liked Burial, his songs are so deep and just so nice to listen to. I think I got everything he ever created. He became more popular with his song 'Archangel'. His new track 'Fostercare' is really too good! The song is, like most of his songs, very deep and dark. That mixed with some great vocals and you have yourself a song that make people, like me, addicted to your stuff. Respect to Burial for this song! Can't stop listen to it.

Burial - Fostercare <3

The King Is Back!

Yeah, George Lenton (check previous post) is back with a great remix, for Daft Punk's 'One More Time'. Now, I've already heard thousands of remixes for this classic track, but this is definitely one of the most creative remixes I've heard yet. So, this brilliant, mysterious producer did it again! One more track like 'Troll' or one more remix like this one, and he definitely wins the Let The Music Control You 'Best Upcoming Artist Of The Year' Award! ;)

Daft Punk - One More Time (George Lenton Remix)

maandag 5 oktober 2009

Even more dubstep!

What The Future Holds - Stenchman

Very, very but very filthy dubstep track. That's how we like it, don't we! This one's so filthy that you're probably going to have to take a shower after you've listened to it?! Didn't know the artist but he sounds like a dubstep king for sure! You can also download his Signs / Powerful Magical EP here.
ENJOY!

zondag 4 oktober 2009

Filthy, but good!

http://dubstepper.ru/images/borgore.jpg

Borgore - Cry Me A River

A while ago I heard this song for the first time, and I was shocked. The song starts with a girl singing she cried a river over her ex-boyfriend, pretty corny shit. Then, suddenly, out of fucking nowhere, the climax starts! And damn, boy, it sounds like a thousand pigs getting killed! One of the filthiest dubstep-tracks I've heard yet! Well done, Borgore, make more tracks like this one, and you're going to be major!

Some Old Bombs ♫...

Some old minimal/tech house bombs that will blow you away (good stuff).

As first Nathan Fake's "Long Sunny" remixed by the canadian Jake Fairley, better known as Fairmont.
Long Sunny (Fairmont Remix) - Nathan Fake

Without doubt one of my favorite minimal tracks. The James Holden remix of the sky was pink brought out on his own record label, called Border Community.
The Sky Was Pink (James Holden Remix) - Nathan Fake

Here's another one brought to you by Fairmont. Special but very nice track!
Gazebo - Fairmont

This one is a nice deep house/minimal song produced by a german dj, called Solomun.
Deadman - Solomun

As last a masterpiece released in 2006 on James Holden's record label!
Some Polyphony - Petter

Roundup ♫ 3 'Dubstep Edition

Another roundup for you guys! This time only dubstep, both new and old tracks. As I said before it does not matter how old a song is, it's always possible you guys dont have it yet. If you didnt check out this EP be sure to check it out, since it's veeeeeeery good dub.

First one is pretty recent and didnt get the attention it deserves. MASTER track by grandmaster Joker and Ginz.
Joker & Ginz - Stash

Next up, I dont know anything about the artist to be honest. Can't even find a MySpace of him! Only thing I can tell you he's from New Zealand. But with his summer track Sierra Leone he sure got my attention!
MT Eden Dubstep - Sierra Leone

Culprate has some pretty massive tracks on his MySpace so sure check it out. This is one of my favorite's though!
Culprate - Grave Robber

Noah D started his musical career as a singer/songwriter playing multiple different instruments from guitar to didgeridoo to hand percussion and many others in between. Late 90's he started to get intrest in the DnB genre. But this track of him is neither of those genre's. He's more into Dubstep now! :)
Noah D - Seeerious

One of my favorite dubstep artists is Nero, all of his remixes and tracks are awesome. He makes Minimixes like no one else does. Because I like him so much he deserves 3 tracks in this roundup. He must be proud!
MJ Cole - Sincere (Nero Remix)
Fresh - Hypercaine (Nero Remix)
Nero - Do You Wanna

Next track is so fucking unknown, but that doesn't change the fact that it's one of my most played dubstep songs ever. It has one of the best vocals I've heard in a dubstep track. Really Recommend this one!
Tom Ato - Videotape (Tomato Remix)

Last but not least I wanna give you guys some dubstep, not normal dubstep, but fucking hard dubstep! 16 Bit is the one you will need to look for then.
16 Bit - In The Death Car (Vocal Mix)
16 Bit - Chainsaw Calligraphy
16 Bit - M Dot Mosley

Period mutherfucker, PERIOD!

Some goodies...

Yup, I'm back with some more mindblowing tracks that have been rocking my week.

The first song is a fine Ted Nilsson edit of Skream's 'In For The Kill' remix. Don't worry, I never heard of the guy either. But I like it, and if you like La Roux, tech-house or Swedish producers you should check out this track!

La Roux - In For The Kill (Ted Nilsson's Skream Edit)

The next song is also tech-house, by upcoming producer Daniel Steinberg, who definitely knows how to make good tracks! I simply love the samples he used, and even more how he used them. Good track, download it!

Daniel Steinberg - Pay For Me

Yay! Vitalics new album 'Flashmob' is definitely the best electronic album I heard this year! Boys Noize's 'Power' was good, and had some pretty f'ing good tracks on it, but was still a little bit dissapointing. The Bloody Beetroots did a good job with 'Romborama', but it felt like we already heard it. Except for 'Little Stars', most creative song of the album and absolutely great! Felix Da Housecat released also a nice feel-good album, and Moderat and The Field also both released amazing albums! But those albums are nothing compared to Vitalics newest album, 'Flashmob'. I suggest y'all buy it, but here is a little preview!

Vitalic - One Above One

And some dubstep, like we promised. Check out this (EXCLUSIVE!) remix of Lady Gaga's 'Pokerface' by madmen ToucheTrois! If you like dubstep, this blow you away!

Lady Gaga - Pokerface (ToucheTrois Remix)

That was it for today. Enjoy the weekend and look at the poll at the right. Rusko's winning at the moment, and it isn't looking very good for Caspa. Come on people, show Caspa some respect and vote for him!

Excision & Datsik

I'm a huge fan of dubstep, there are not many post on this blog for it though. I don't really have a reason for that, but I do know that there's gonna be alot of dubstep on Let The Music Control You in the future.
This EP by Excision & Datsik is probably one of the best dubstep I know. It's hard, it's hard and it's very hard and oh so awesome!
